Ranking up / using double XP premium events

How to get the most out of double XP events

The double xp events are planned events and announced on battlelog. In order to get the maximum out of it, I just put down some tips. Please feel free to comment and give suggestions.

1. Check classes and aim for service stars
   On the battlelog you can see which class is about to earn a new service star. If it's nearly completed (> 95%) you might want to wait using that class until the double xp starts.
   
   In this specific case it would mean I won't be playing recon before double xp starts since that one is nearly completed. Just remember that service star is worth 20.000 points on double xp.
   
   
2. Check gun service stars based on number of kills
   Each gun will give you a service star each time you get a 100 kills with it. This service star is worth 2000 points (4000 on double xp). you can easily check the progression on battlelog and find the guns that are about to get a service star.
   
   
   Just remember to check the complete list. You might be surprised how close you are to a star with the guns you don't use often.
   
   
   
3. Check medal progression through Battlelog
   You earn most medals by earning 30 or 50 ribbons. Some medals are awarded after spending a certain amoung of time flying, being engineer, etc. This can be also be checked on the battlelog. You can see the progress when you hover your cursor over the ribbons and medals. Medals are an easy way to gain XP since there are a whole lot of them to be earned. Most medals can be earned several times.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Best gametype to gain XP
   My experience is that playing 'infantery only' games like conquest domination on close quarters or a 500% ticket game on operation Metro is the quickest way to rank up. You can hopefully get lots of kills which makes the points and gun service stars add up pretty fast.
   
   The small conquest domination maps with quick flag captures make it easy gaining a lot of points capturing flags. Playing assault class will give you many points reviving and healing while playing support will give you much resupplies at the flags.

Especially important for beginners such as myself

nice one lucky... in my opinion you would be best off with close quarters domination.. you may not get as many kills as you would in metro, but capping those flags earns loads of points!!! and flag attacker medals come by a lot faster

Also another tip if playing close quarters, either go with assault or support.. with assault you can get loads of revives, but if you can manage with support, chuck out an ammo box every time you cap a flag you'll get loads of resupplies, every 3-4 games youll probably get a medal.




one last thing, if you use the same type of gun throughout the double xp period(for example PDWs, then your likely to get a medal or two from that as well)
