anyone play dc universe online on ps3?

at the start of the month, dc made dc universe online free. it used to cost £40 but you can now download it for free off the psn store. it does take a while because it is 18 gb and it takes about 6 hours to download. It used to cost a monthly subscription to play online aswel but they have changed that to free to play. if you buy a dlc for it then you become a premium member but you get the whole game for free if you dont wanna upgrade. so come and get on it and create a league on it. you can either create a hero or villain and have mentors like batman, joker, superman or wonder woman.

I downloaded it today but havent tried it yet I knew it was downloading for ages but didnt think it would be 18 GB

When you get on you will have to let me know what your name is and if your a hero or villain. It would be awesome to have a 4gc league

I have been playing it since it went F2P, I dropped ten bucks to get the Fight for the Light expansion pack because I am a green lantern fanboy and the idea of my own hard light constructs appealed to me. Dropping the ten got me permanent "premium" status (more in game chars, items in mail, little bit more). Being a previous world of warcrack addict I was reluctant to get into another MMO but hey I needed to fill time between finishing Arkham City and MW3 release so I gave it a whirl. Few things to note:

The download is frickin huge, 18gb took me around 7 hours of constant downloading. I'd start it before you go to bed and let it go overnight.

This is an action MMO, which after what I was used to in WoW felt really "dumbed down". You get 6 powers to work with at a time and basic attacks, I'm used to access to all my powers/spells, it felt restrained. That said the flight system is awesome and its got a definite geek factor to it. Deep DC lore to work through.

As for a 4GC league unless there is someone with a legendary account to set it up it wont happen. Legendary users can set up leagues, premium can join them, and basic can't do that.
