if it'll be released in 2025 I might go for the Xbox 1240

I have my Ps4 Fund ready and growing - Guessing the price point will be about £500.00 at launch

pretty sure it wont be called PS4 after Vita was released IMO

I can't remember where I found it, but I'm sure I read that the launch will be significantly later than that - something to do with preliminary graphics processors not being up to scratch, delaying the whole development cycle by a fair whack. I think I also read that you can expect a console cycle of 10 years nowadays.

Sony support their consoles for a 10 year period. So that doesn't stop them releasing one earlier than that. I read somewhere 2014 for both MS and Sony. Hopefully Sony have realised their mistake now, and will release the PS4 prior to (or at the same time as) the Xbox 720, not 1yr after. Wishful thinking?

They so need to do something at the console level to allow the games to step up a level.

And they need to upgrade their PSN. Pinch some of the features that xbox provides. Cross party chat + partying up is meant to be real easy.

it will be the Playstation Orbis, using AMD A8-3850 APU and an AMD HD 7670 GPU. Xbox is using the 6000 series GPU, so the PS will have the slight edge there.

it will also come ready for 4096x2160 and 1080p 3D.

no backwards compatibility with old PS games. probably because they are going to be download only games. so i hope the have a usb slot for external drive, cause some people have a lot of discs.

everything is pure speculation at this point.

But, i've also heard it'll be called the Orbis

Orbis - Circle
Vita - Life

'Circle of Life' - nice gimmick.

I have no idea when it'll be released, but I think if it was 2013 we'd have had some sort of confirmation by now.

Price: I'd say £400
