Sainsbury's launches biggest ever gaming sale

Sainsbury's has launched what it describes as its "biggest ever" gaming sale, offering savings of up to 40 per cent on consoles, games and accessories.

The supermarket says that to meet the expected demand it has "increased current stocks with a raft of new titles, to make sure customers can get the best and latest games at low prices".

Some of the sale items include:

3DS consoles: £124.99
PS3 / Xbox - Fifa 12: £26.99
PS3 / Xbox - Batman Arkham City: £23.99
Wii - Mario and Sonic at the Olympics: £20.99
PS3 / Xbox - Assassin's Creed Revelations: £17.99
PS3 / Xbox - Final Fantasy XIII-2: £14.99
Wii - Just Dance 3: £14.99
3DS - Mario Kart: £27.99
3DS - Super Mario Land 3D: £27.99
3DS - Mario and Sonic at the Olympics: £27.99
Wii - Black Eyed Peas: £12.99

Gurdeep Hunjan, Sainsbury's games manager commented: "Gaming is a key part of our entertainment offering so we are excited to be reducing prices by as much as 40% for this exclusive sale.

"Our breadth of offer is now bigger than ever before and customers can be assured that they can get the most popular games and consoles from us at outstanding value, whilst doing their weekly shop."

Offers are available from Wednesday March 28 until Thursday April 19 in store and via Sainsbury's Entertainment.

Fair play to them.........................although slightly pissed that i just paid 40 quid for batman arkham city only a few days a go. oh well it`s a quality game.

You're not wrong there, although they tend to just do that to us anyway. I look at it this way though buddy, there's the easy option of trading it in, not as much money, but a lot less hassle. Or it means selling it on ebay, car boot etc, where you might get more but it involves a lot more effort

Hmmm could this mean that the now defunct game chains stocks have been snapped up by sainsburys?
