| Ok, here is the short version.
Moving in January. Getting 150Mbs service through mediacom. NOT gonna pay to rent their crap. NEED a modem/router recommendation so I can be up and running ASAP.
I am on a bit of a budget, but can spend up to $200 for a set up.
Ok? GO! (please tell me where I can buy this stuff too - I don't want to have to spend a ton of time shopping around.)

| Personally, I always just rent from the ISP. Every few years (as most tech goes) way better stuff comes out, so with renting you can just get it upgraded. Also, It's usually only about $8 a month so to me it seems cheaper in the long run. | |

| 10.50 for modem, $5 for router/wifi. plus tax added. I prefer to own my equipment. and I don't have to deal with service calls... ATT only allowed us to have their equipment and we had people out monthly for service calls. Ugh.

| I hope to be online and playing CoD. I'm way behind, but hopefully with the break I'll be able to make some levels during the daytime hours.
Holiday Crash on MW looks fun. And I prefer that game to IW, but I'll play whatever I can get in game with some peeps with.
See you soon!

| I think I found a modem & router that will work and it comes in about $200. Both are highly recommended by my "tech" friends and have 5 star ratings on multiple sites. Now, I just have to make it through the move. | |
