It is seperate, what you get when you pre-order is one expansion pack.

Seems EA are just getting greedy, £60 with one expansion pack, then there will be other maps, premium, servers, gun packs, vehicles packs, tags etc.
Not overly impressed with the beta just seems like an extension of the last map pack for BF3 seems quite COD like in look and feel.

Yes it must be purchased separated, PC is the only one getting premium. They are getting greedy but what company isn't? It's no better then the Call of Duty franchise and they have been greedy for years.
