With PS3 declining and slowly fading to a blacker black, I'm trying to build my old consoles into "Kids Konsoles" for marketting Wink

Can anyone suggest games that are good for these age bands (Taking into account control complexity and voilence levels/pegi ratings etc)

  • 4&5yo
  • 6&7yo
  • 8&9yo

Assistance appreciated with all comments (even if just guesses/hypothetical) will be taken on board.

i guess sonic all star racing & skylanders suit most ages.

Never been able to get my two in to ANY PS3 games coz they are Nintendo fanboys !

with the exception of BO2 which they would play 24/7 if allowed.

My boys are a bit young but I did download a ten pin bowling game which they quite liked watching my wife and I play. Helps if you have playstation move although not essential. In a few more years they could probably grasp the controller better etc.

What about an Olympic sports type game? I bought one of those off amazon quite cheaply and my wife and I played a few good games of that...just playstation move though I think.

What about some of the mini games like angry birds perhaps?

My sons play the heck out of spiderman games and the lego series games. Also my 7 year old love to play COD with me.

I found a demo of Urban Trial Freestyle.....seemed really good, let my son have a go as it only had 4 controls but graphically, very pretty.

I then paid for the full version (£12) and found flozzy and another clan member have it also Very Happy

It's one player side scrolling bike game with simple 360 being your only trick. The rest is just balancing with the left stick. My 4 year old seems to love it.

Think for the 4-5 year old range, I may be better getting spyro from PS1 or something.

i think i might be ableto answer ur question, my cousins are in that category, they always come over to play on ps3 and i try to accomodate them by putting a game that they might like, i found that not even games like arkham city are interesting to an 8 yr old, they dont understand, littlebigplanet is alright, but not that great
littlebigplanet karting was something they were really into, ps they have tried every game i have had, COD,battlefield, prob shouldnt have let them play last of us...they didnt get past the 3 part haha

racing games always work, but lbp karting is super simple, also nba 2k12 was a hit...who knew, but they hated fifa 13, not that many games for them, i would also try the indie games, labyrinth legends was a good one

There's lot of older games for kids. For PS1 I remember Spyro and Medievil. Also, Ducktales remaster just came out which I remember loving as a kid. Golden axe is another from Sega Genesis but is more for the 10+ range. Sly cooper , Jak and Daxter, and the Ratchet and Clank series. Sonic and the Lego series. Disney games.
Then there's educational things like Leap Frog.

Edit: some of those games I mention I just realized I played when I was around 10-12 lol. Now I feel old.
